If you're looking for investment, probably the first people you'll turn to are business angels. You'll need to put a pitch together that whets their appetites. So what you really want to do is watch other businesses and see how they pitch to angels.
Find and join a local angel group as a potential investor or sign up to one of the crowd funding platforms to see for yourself what pitches work, and those that bomb. Do this before you invest time and money into creating your own pitch.
