Why? is your new best friend. That's what entrepreneurs do - they ask why?
Why does it take so long?
Why is it so expensive? Or cheap?
Why can't it go faster?
Why can't it be smaller? Or bigger?
Why is it done that way? Why not another way?
Why is it so slow?
Why is there such a shortage?
Why can't people do it online?
Why do our customers have to wait?
Entrepreneurs are always pushing for more. They can be unreasonable, but that's their job. That's why they ask open questions - like who, what, when, where, why and how. Because the answer is more than just yes or no. The answer requires explanation. And then they say,
"Are you seriously telling me that with all this knowledge and capability we can't make it go faster?"
Who's gonna say no?
More often than not lasting innovation comes about by taking many small steps, not a single great stride. And that's because entrepreneurs always ask why? And things move forward a bit.
Ask Why? And enjoy the results.
